Blue Walcer serves as Health Education Manager for the Primary Care section with the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Previously, Blue worked at San Francisco General Hospital as Director of CARE (Cancer Awareness, Resources, and Education), Director of Patient Education, and Wellness Innovator/Manager with the hospital?s Community Wellness Program. Blue received her B.A. in Education and Social Justice and her MPH (Community Health Education specialization) from UC Berkeley. She was National Grand Winner of California Pacific?s Award for Excellence in Patient Education and received American Cancer Society?s Quality of Life Award for her work with CARE.
