The Atlas of Integrative Health, currently under development, was inspired by the Dartmouth Atlas of Healthcare (http://www.dartmouthatlas.org/)The Atlas Project will function as an online resource that will serve the policy goals of the integrative healthcare community in the United States. The Atlas Project will use data from health insurance claims and both public and private agencies to map and document access to integrative healthcare services, state by state. The Atlas Project will help healthcare consumers, providers, and policy makers to monitor progress toward achievement of healthcare justice with regard to equitable access to integrative health care services, particularly for the underserved.Building upon formative work initiated at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU), the Integrative Health Policy Consortium (IHPC) and SCU have formed the Atlas Project Working Group for the purpose of supporting development of the Atlas Project. IM4US conference attendees are to take advantage of this workshop as an opportunity to contribute their ideas for the form and content of the Atlas project while it is still in utero. Participants will share, identify resources and brainstorm about the project?s proposed concept, purpose, medium, and content.?
